Before discovering ceramics, I spent more than 20 years working as a graphic designer - a career that influenced the way I understand form, balance, and visual storytelling.
Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, I moved to the United States with my husband and children in 2014, beginning a new chapter and unexpectedly finding my love for clay. Clay felt alive in a way a computer screen never does - the material drew me in with its endless possibilities, the way it can be shaped, transformed, and pushed in new directions, continues to inspire me.
Since 2020, I've been fortunate to spend parts of each year back in South Africa, balancing my life between two continents. Staying connected to my family, friends, and the place that shaped me, is deeply important to me.
My work is a reflection of that journey - my heritage, the landscapes I move between, and the beauty I find in everyday moments. I love collecting sea glass on the beaches of Cape Town - small jewels worn smooth by the ocean. These fragments find their way into some of my work, melting in the kiln and becoming a luminous, permanent part of my artworks.
Look closely and you may find the number 3 quietly woven through many pieces - in lines, in dots, in groupings - sometimes obvious, sometimes hidden. The meaning is personal and close to my heart.
Every piece tells a story. Created to be Held, Displayed and Enjoyed.
